Speaker of the House Mike Johnson delivered a shocking revelation during an impromptu hallway interview Friday, declaring that President Donald Trump once acted as an FBI informant in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

His comments came as he addressed the growing push from lawmakers to release thousands of documents tied to the disgraced financier.

Johnson, speaking with CNN’s Manu Raju, took aim at Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who has been spearheading a discharge petition to force the release of the Epstein files.

He accused Massie of grandstanding, describing his tactics as “antics” and insisting the petition was “mooted” and “not necessary.”

Johnson argued that the voices of the six women who came forward this week spoke for “as many as a thousand other women” who are not ready to go public.

When pressed on Trump’s labeling of the Epstein scandal as a “hoax,” Johnson clarified that the president was not dismissing the crimes of Epstein but rather calling out Democrats for weaponizing the case against him.

“What Trump is referring to is the hoax that the Democrats are using to try to attack him,” Johnson said.

“It’s been misrepresented. He’s not saying that what Epstein did is a hoax. It’s a terrible, unspeakable evil; he believes that himself. When he first heard the rumor, he kicked him out of Mar-a-Lago.”

Johnson then made the startling claim that Trump had cooperated with federal authorities.

“He was an FBI informant to try to take this stuff down,” he claimed. “The president knows ― and has great sympathy for the women who suffered these unspeakable harms. It’s detestable to him,” Johnson stated.

The House Oversight Committee earlier this week released over 30,000 pages tied to the Epstein case after hearing from survivors.

On Capitol Hill, accusers demanded lawmakers move forward with legislation to make all related documents public.

Survivors said if the government refused to create a client list, they would make their own.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) left the closed-door session in visible distress, later revealing that the testimony of Epstein’s accusers triggered a panic attack.

“As a recent survivor (not 2 years in), I had a very difficult time listening to their stories. Full blown panic attack. Sweating. Hyperventilating. Shaking. I can’t breathe,” Mace wrote afterward.

She added, “I feel the immense pain of how hard all victims are fighting for themselves because we know absolutely no one will fight for us. GOD BLESS ALL SURVIVORS.”

Mace was filmed wiping her eyes as she exited, declining to answer questions.

Later that evening, she posted online calling for potential prosecution of Britain’s Prince Andrew, saying, “Now seems like a good time to discuss prosecuting Prince Andrew for any and all potential crimes on U.S. soil.”

In another post, she wrote, “A cold dark cell. Prince Andrew in handcuffs. Sends the right message.”

Prince Andrew has long denied allegations from Virginia Giuffre, who claims she was 17 when he sexually abused her.

The royal has said he has “no recollection” of meeting Giuffre, despite a widely circulated photograph of the two standing together with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, in the background.

Meanwhile, the legislative battle continued to intensify. Massie and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) filed their discharge petition to force the House to vote on a bill demanding nearly full disclosure of federal records on Epstein and Maxwell.

Most Democrats have signed on, along with Republicans including Massie, Mace, Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).

Following the committee briefing, Johnson acknowledged that lawmakers were presented with “additional names” tied to Epstein.

“There was outrage. It was both — I would describe it as heartbreaking and infuriating. That justice has been delayed so long,” Johnson said.

Rep. Greene told reporters she would not hesitate to go public with names if accusers provided them.

“If they give me a list, I’ll go to the House floor and reveal every damn name,” she declared.

Attorney Arick Fudali, who represents 11 Epstein survivors, applauded the women pushing forward despite the government’s failures.

“I’m encouraged that this group of brave women is taking it upon themselves, since the government continues to fail them, to compile their own list of Epstein’s enablers and perhaps even co-abusers,” he said.

“I look forward to learning more about this endeavor.”
