Video footage showed a Secret Service agent cover a security camera before the salon door’s lock was picked during a Kamala Harris fundraiser.
The salon’s owner said her business was closed due to the security mayhem in the area ahead of Harris’ fundraiser on July 27th.
“They had a bunch of people in and out of here doing a couple of bomb sweeps again,” Alicia Powers told Business Insider.
“And at that point, my team felt like it was a little bit chaotic, and we just made the decision to close for Saturday.”
But early that morning, Powers got a notification from her Ring security camera of a person on her property.
Upon viewing the footage, which was posted to X, she saw a female Secret Service agent approach the camera and put duct tape over the lens.
Later that day, during the event, a security camera inside the building caught various people enter the business, including one in a dark suit that looked similar to the Secret Service officer outside the door.
Powers claimed that an emergency medical services worker later told her that a Secret Service officer in charge “was telling people to come in and use the bathroom.”
“They didn’t even have the audacity to ask for permission. They just helped themselves.”
After the event, the building was left unlocked and unsecured and the tape over her security camera was not removed.
Powers said the head of the Secret Service’s Boston-based field office eventually called her to apologize.
“He said to me everything that was done was done very wrong,” Powers said. “They were not supposed to tape my camera without permission. They were not supposed to enter the building without permission.”
There was no word on whether anything was taken from the business overnight or if the Secret Service office offered any compensation to Powers for the use of her business.
Typical arrogance.
Tantamount to the gestapo!
Great! Now the Secret Service isn’t just lying to us and concealing evidence from us they are openly committing a felony while on our dime and suffer no consequences. They do this while complaining there isn’t a double standard in our justice system.
