Democrats Flex Majority, Toss Impeachment

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas

Senate Democrats blocked Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ impeachment trial on Wednesday.

Liberal lawmakers in the Senate ended the impeachment trial against Mayorkas before it began in a definitive flex of their majority with a 51-48 vote late yesterday afternoon.

Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) triggered the vote on grounds that the House’s first article of impeachment charging Mayorkas with “the willful and systematic refusal to comply with the law,” was “unconstitutional” because they weren’t “high crimes.”

Schumer initiated another vote against the second article of impeachment, which accused Mayorkas of “Breach of Public Trust,” for misleading Congress about the nation’s border security, immediately after the first vote, and it was defeated in the exact same manner.

According to Marshall, the decision made by Democrats shows how much they really feel about Americans who have been directly impacted by the border crisis.

“Today, Senate Democrats chose political expediency over holding a trial for DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas,” Marshall tweeted in a statement.

“By voting to block Mayorkas’ impeachment trial, Senate Democrats signaled to Laken Riley’s family they do not care that an illegal immigrant murdered her daughter,” he wrote.

“They are signaling to all the families who lost a loved one to fentanyl poisoning that they do not care about the deadliest drug we have ever seen flooding over our open border and killing 300 Americans a day.”

He also accused Senate Democrats of jeopardizing “the checks and balances Congress has over the Executive Branch.”

Marshall insisted that there is “no harm” in holding a trial and letting both sides of the aisle present their cases, but the Democrat’s quick votes to shut it down “deprived” the nation of hearing their arguments.

“This obstruction of justice sets a dangerous precedent for this Chamber,” he concluded. “History will not be forgiving of Democrats decision to table this hearing; the American people will hold Mayorkas accountable at the ballot box this November.”

  1. The Democratic Party is lower that whale s— at the bottom of the ocean.
They are giving the middle finger salute to everyone who has been adversely
affected by the onslaught of illegal migrants. They also want to destroy the
constitution and let them make all the rules that favor them.
I am a Trump supporter and plan to vote for him like I have both times that
he ran for office. I think he will win. However, I am worried about the underground
vote that helped Biden win in 2020. The underground vote is the illegal vote that the Democrats can and have created. Things like dead people voting, forged sig natures on ballots, mail box stuffing, bringing boxes of votes after the polls have closed ( the senator elect from Minn.),letting illegal’s vote in several districts, and probably many more methods that I am not listing.
In summary, The Democratic Party is full of corruption and hate.
They are only concerned about themselves and will do anything to preserve their power.
I hope the voters of America can see what they are doing and vote them out of office.

  2. Democrat Senators of the USSA socialist communist party deny the impeachment of anti American DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and his refusal to inforce our laws.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.” ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero

  3. This one is definitely going to have terrible consequences in the future for the demonRATS Every time they set a new never before seen precedent by political manipulation of the Constitution they open the door for retaliation by the other side.
