Arizona’s Kari Lake Scores Key Endorsements in Senate Showdown

1 min read

In a powerful move signaling Republican unity, Kari Lake has garnered significant endorsements, not only from staunch Trump loyalists but also from influential figures in the GOP establishment.

Leading GOP members, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), have thrown their weight behind a major conservative player, Kari Lake, in the upcoming high-stakes Arizona Senate race.

Joining the chorus are Senate titan John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and Senator Steve Daines (R-Mont.), demonstrating the depth of support for Lake from within the D.C. stronghold.

With his endorsement, Rand Paul lauded Lake’s promise to challenge the status quo.

“Kari Lake will go to DC to shake things up, and that’s exactly the kind of leadership that Arizona needs in the United States Senate,” Paul said about Lake in a statement.

“I am proud to endorse Kari Lake for the United States Senate because she has the policies, the drive, and desire to defeat the Washington War Machine and restore American liberties,” he added.

Echoing the support, Rep. Matt Gaetz praised Lake as authentically MAGA and impervious to political games.

“Kari Lake is MAGA to her core and cannot be bought by the establishment. I am proud to endorse her for the United States Senate in Arizona. I am very much [looking] forward to watching her shake up the halls of power,” Gaetz wrote.

Expressing gratitude, Kari Lake acknowledged the significance of the endorsements from such reputable allies, who she referred to as “America First warriors.”

“They have been champions for fiscal responsibility, liberty, and fighting against the Washington War machine,” she added. “I look forward to working with them to implement President Trump’s agenda.”

The former news anchor-turned-political contender is the clear frontrunner in the GOP primary, standing toe-to-toe with local law enforcement veteran, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb.

With sights set on the general election, Lake is poised to face off against Democrat Ruben Gallego, while political observers await the next move of current seat holder, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.).

The Arizona Senate race is widely regarded as one of the best opportunities that the GOP has to flip a seat in the 2024 elections. Elections in Montana, Nevada, Ohio, and West Virginia are also being eyed as viable seats for Republicans to win.

With the help of independents including Sens. Sinema, Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Angus King, (I-Maine), Democrats currently control the Senate majority.

  1. Rand Paul is a winner of an endorsement. I’m not sure about that gaetz since he is part of the caucus that is always disrupting Congress, when they can’t get their way. In other words, the freedom caucus doesn’t play well together. But I love Kari, and hope she uses her own good sense what to do.,
