HRC Calls for Anheuser-Busch to Reaffirm Support for Trans Community

1 min read

The Human Rights Campaign called on Anheuser-Busch, the company behind Bud Light, to publicly restate its support for the trans community after it pulled back from its catastrophic partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Jay Brown, a senior vice president with the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, sent a letter to Anheuser-Busch’s head of human resources slamming the company’s response to the controversy as insufficient and cowardly.

“In this moment, it is absolutely critical for Anheuser-Busch to stand in solidarity with Dylan and the trans community,” reads the letter obtained by The Hill.

“However, when faced with anti-LGBTQ+ and transphobic criticism, Anheuser-Busch’s actions demonstrate a profound lack of fortitude in upholding its values of diversity, equity, and inclusion to employees, customers, shareholders and the LGBTQ+ community.”

“This not only lends credence to hate-filled rhetoric, it exposes Anheuser-Busch to long-term business impacts with employees and customers increasingly looking for steadfast commitment to LGBTQ+ corporate citizenships,” Brown wrote.

Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth previously said in a statement across the brand’s social media accounts, “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over beer.”

Controversy Follows Mulvaney

Dylan Mulvaney, who was born a male, is a notorious transgender influencer with millions of followers across various social media platforms.

However, the creator finds herself hounded by controversy due to the abrasive and mocking tone to her posts.

She gained attention for her “365 Days of Girlhood” series in which she documented her gender transition, but many people feel her tone is intentionally stereotypically childish and mocks biological women.

Mulvaney addressed the Bud Light controversy for the first time, telling her followers she is “okay” despite the hate she’s received.

“I think it’s OK to be frustrated with someone or confused,” she said. “But what I’m struggling to understand is the need to dehumanize and to be cruel.”

  1. How about those mentally ill freaks leave the rest of us alone and just live in their own minds. We don’t scream out about our straight lives so they should just just the heck up and stay in their caves

  2. Sure, support for the freak movement caused you to get shot in the foot & now they want you to again show your “support” for all things sick & twisted. What could go wrong? Go for it, AB! Who knows, maybe you’ll take one between the eyes this time!

  3. If I were to guess I would say that the vast majority of Americans are sick and tired of having all this LGBTQ+, and trans stuff, shoved down their throats. All those companies that try to cater to those sicko’s should just expect that the so called normal people in this country would just take their dollars elsewhere. Is the United States of America hitting that sick sexual wall that caused the Great Roman Empire to fall into nothingness? Sure seems like it!

    • Politicians are sure trying to insure we are, along with the corporate hierarchies. Perhaps they should all take a guided tour to the south end of the Dead Sea, and have a closer look at Yhwh God’s opinion of it all…what’s left of Sodom and Gomorrah are there… They might just want to rethink their position, before He unleashes that again.

  4. AB should have taken this stance from the beginning. “We support Americans, no one group over another be it race, state, political choice, sex or religion. We support all Americans.”
Until all this lying destructive wokeism nonsense stops, we must control it with our spending. Stop watching/reading by how we spend our time. Stop all commercial products by how we spend our money. Stop all un-Constitutional acts by how we spend our vote!

  5. This is not, never was, and never will be, an “human rights” issue; it has always been a wants and special privileges issue! An human right is 1 that apples to EVERY human equally, and may be exercised by 1 or more person(-s) at a time, without infringing on the rights of others to do so; what these are demanding invariably infringes on the rights of others every time they exercise those privileges, and all others are excluded from any benefit of those privileges. ALL US citizens have had equal human RIGHTS since the civil rights laws of the mid ’60s were signed into law under LBJ. No more are needed. Further, under our Constitution, “segregation”, which this implicitly is, and special protected groups are unacceptable, unlawful, unconstitutional since the late 1860s! Corporations falling into this are aiding and abetting unconstitutional activities, much as the supporters of the KKK did from the late 1860s to the 1960s, and the est of their customer bases are expressing displeasure of that with their wallets. Time for the corporate bosses to get the message: THIS is no more acceptable than the KKK was!

  6. How about we tell the HRC to go F**k itself? This isn’t a Government Bureau, department or Agency, and it has Zero F**king Authority to dictate to anyone, individual or business.

HRC is nothing but a collective group of whiney A$$ Tree Huggin’, Bunny F**kin’, Little B**ches that think they can dictate amoral behavior acceptence to everyone.

HRC needs to STFU, before we’re forced to Shut Them Up Permanently.

  7. Hey Dylan, you can put lip stick and a dress on a pig but it is still a pig. Just like you are still a man even if you dress up and act like a silly 10 year old girl. and guess what? you can still get an enlarged prostate.
