California Accuses DeSantis of Kidnapping, and Texas Supports Charges

1 min read

California Attorney General Rob Bonta is investigating a private plane full of immigrants flown to Sacramento while a sheriff’s office in Texas filed a criminal case over those flown to Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Governor – and 2024 presidential candidate – Ron DeSantis.

Bonta said Sacramento had received two private planes full of immigrants that he suspects are part of a “scheme” by DeSantis to relocate immigrants against their will to Democrat-led cities as a political power play.

“Today I met with over a dozen migrants who were brought to Sacramento by private plane, with no prior arrangement or care in place,” Bonta said in a statement. “We are investigating the circumstances by which these individuals were brought to California.”

“While we continue to collect evidence, I want to say this very clearly: State-sanctioned kidnapping is not a public policy choice, it is immoral and disgusting.”

Eddie Carmona, campaign director at a faith-based organization in the state, said the immigrants appeared to have no idea where they were transported to and that he believes they were “lied to and intentionally deceived” into getting on the plane.

Bonta’s office followed up, saying, “As was the case with the migrants who arrived on Friday, the migrants who arrived today carried documents indicating that their transportation to California involved the State of Florida.”

Texas County Recommends Criminal Charges

In a similar incident which DeSantis has taken credit for, 49 immigrants were flown out of Texas into Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, an area known for its rich and famous residents.

“The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has officially filed a completed criminal case with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office regarding the incident from September 2022 where 49 migrants were flown to Martha’s Vineyard,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “The charge filed is Unlawful Restraint and several accounts were filed, both misdemeanor and felony. At this time, the case is being reviewed by the DA’s office.”

Florida’s legislature has given DeSantis $22 million dollars in funding to pay for immigrant flights to sanctuary cities.

His office has not commented on either incident or the criminal case.

  1. Awww, what’s the matter you can’t take what the other states have to put up with from this joke of a government

  2. I wonder if they plan to investigate/charge Joe Biden, our human-trafficker-in-chief, for doing the same thing

    • Somehow it’s alright with the leftists if senile Joe has his people round up the illegals under the cover of darkness and spread them around the country. Of course then they lose all track of them and have no clue where they went. Typical democrat policy.

      • I wish there was an upvote button because I would use it for all four of the comments posting thus far.

    • So did I for 8 yrs. However, it was my understanding the illegals flown to Martha’s Vineyard were flown out of FL, not TX, by DeSantis. Abbott has been busing them out, but only volunteers who sign written consents before boarding the bus, with full understanding where the bus is taking them.

    • No wondering about it. If it’ll put more millions of our worthless tax dollars into the greasy hands of Washongton moguls and law firms, they’ll do it. Raise your own chickens! (In a place where the drones can’t see it.)

  3. So the socialist government of Newsom is crying because his loony left state got a few more illegals is he? Gee, does he think anybody, except the other loony left states, feel sorry for him. What a joke!

    • Phuk him! Everyone knows he’s a Getty-Pelosi-Soros puppet, and everyone’s laughing their asses off at him. The governor has no clothes, no matter how long he looks in the mirror. But remember when there was no way Brandon would be the “next president?” So, don’t be surprised…. Go underground. Barter. Buy “hunting rifles” for harvesting meat. Dig a “shelter” for protection against all kinds of storms and practice for accuracy (you don’t want to just ‘wound’ an animal and have it escape, of course). And PRAY for your own and your family’s wellbeing. Everything is and will be made known.

  4. Remember the saying, “Run out on a rail?” Well, that Sheriff should be run out.

  5. This is what Texas has been doing. Using buses, instead. They should all be sent to sanctuary cities and states, especially California, New York, and Chicago.

  6. They’d first have to prove that the migrants didn’t want to go the the other states, and were forced to get on those planes against their will. Good luck with that!
