The U.S. State Department is revoking visas of several foreign nationals who celebrated the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, declaring that the country has “no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans.”
In a statement posted to X, the department confirmed that it has identified and taken action against visa holders who glorified the killing of the conservative activist.
“The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk,” the post read.
“Here are just a few examples of aliens who are no longer welcome in the U.S.”
A German national celebrated Kirk’s death and attempted to justify his murder, writing “when fascists die, democrats don’t complain.”

The message continued by stating that President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio “will defend our borders, our culture, and our citizens by enforcing our immigration laws.”
According to the post, officials cited multiple examples of foreigners whose online comments appeared to celebrate Kirk’s murder.
One Argentine national allegedly wrote that Kirk “devoted his entire life spreading racist, xenophobic, misogynistic rhetoric” and deserved to “burn in hell.”
That individual’s visa was revoked. Another Argentine user wrote that “charlie kirk can rest in fucking piss” and suggested that anyone who sympathized with him should “remove” themselves from her life.
The department also cited a Mexican national who allegedly stated that Kirk “died being a racist, he died being a misogynist,” adding that “there are people who deserve to die.”

Similarly, a South African user reportedly called Kirk a “neanderthal,” accusing him of being part of a “white nationalist trailer trash” movement.
Other cases involved nationals from Brazil, Germany, and Paraguay who made comparable posts mocking Kirk’s assassination.
The decision to revoke the visas comes just hours after President Trump honored the late conservative leader with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, calling him “an extraordinary champion” who “was assassinated in the prime of his life for boldly speaking the truth.”

“The Nation was robbed of this extraordinary champion,” Trump remarked during the White House ceremony. “He loved his country.”
The president condemned what he called the “far-left radicals” who, in his view, fuel hatred and violence when their ideology fails to persuade.
“In the days since Charlie’s killing, we’ve seen exactly why our country so dearly needed his example,” Trump said. “They have the devil’s ideology, and they’re failing, and they know it.”
He went on to accuse left-wing agitators of targeting law enforcement, noting that “they’ve rammed vehicles into federal law enforcement, fired sniper rifles at ICE agents,” and continued to escalate politically motivated violence.
Trump also highlighted Kirk’s influence in shaping conservative youth movements through Turning Point USA, saying that the organization had only grown stronger in the wake of its founder’s death.
The event, held in the White House Rose Garden on what would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday, brought together his family, TPUSA members, and political allies.
Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, accepted the award on her late husband’s behalf, delivering an emotional tribute to his life and legacy.

“He filled every single day with purpose, and he fought for truth when it was unpopular,” she said, noting that her husband “stood for God when it was costly.”
Erika added that despite his fierce rhetoric, Kirk prayed for his enemies and never abandoned his faith.
She also shared that he likely would have run for president if he felt America needed him to.
The president praised Erika for her resilience, telling her, “Your love and courage have been an inspiration to all of us, and we will always be here for you.”

Trump then declared that Charlie was “attaining a far more important milestone” as his name was entered “forever into the eternal roster of true American heroes.”
During her remarks, Erika read a heartfelt message from the couple’s young daughter to her father.
“Happy birthday, daddy,” the note said. “I want to give you a stuffed animal. I want you to eat a cupcake with ice cream. And I want you to go have a birthday surprise. I love you.”

Erika also shared a tender moment about their infant son, joking that he had “become the man of the house” after being fully potty-trained at 16 months.
“Charlie, baby, I know that you’re celebrating in heaven today,” she said. “We miss you. And we love you. And we promise we’ll make you proud.”
While the White House ceremony drew praise across conservative circles, MSNBC became the only major television network to forgo live coverage of the Medal of Freedom event.

Instead, the network aired a segment on the administration’s new tariffs. The decision sparked backlash online, as even CNN, often critical of Trump, aired the full event.
Critics blasted MSNBC for the snub, calling it “disgusting” and “shameful,” with many suggesting that its refusal to air the tribute was evidence of deep-seated bias.
