A top Trump aide said that American citizens are owed reparations for the damage inflicted on their communities by rampant illegal immigration.
Stephen Miller, President Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff and a longtime immigration policy advisor, delivered a sharp rebuke in response to recent claims that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a migrant with alleged ties to the violent MS-13 gang, may be deserving of compensation for his treatment after being deported to El Salvador.
Instead of sympathy for Garcia, Miller turned the conversation to the countless American families affected by the fallout of illegal immigration.
“Look at Los Angeles. Once a paradise of safety, security, and prosperity, entire neighborhoods are occupied and controlled by foreign gangs,” Miller said during an interview on Newsmax.
“Where do all the residents who’ve been displaced, who’ve been forced from Los Angeles—where do they go to get their reparations?”

He painted a grim picture of American cities and schools overwhelmed by an influx of migrants.
Miller criticized the state of public education, saying the system had been upended by uncontrolled immigration and overwhelmed with the need for extensive language translation resources.
“We used to have a functioning public school system in this country. Then we had open borders,” he said on Saturday.
“Now our schools are in chaos and disarray. We need hundreds of translators. Nobody’s learning how to read or write.”
According to Miller, the damage extends across generations, robbing American children of meaningful educational opportunities.
He also raised the issue of fentanyl poisoning, which has been fueled in part by narcotics flowing across the southern border.
He questioned whether the families of overdose victims are ever considered in discussions of compensation or justice.
“Hundreds of thousands of moms and dads whose kids are dead and buried in the ground. Where do they go to get their reparations from the government?” he wondered.
Miller’s comments then turned to violent crime, referencing women who have suffered rape, assault, or murder, and police officers killed in the line of duty by illegal aliens.
“All the dads who have been shot dead and aren’t home, all the police officers who have been slain by illegal aliens in ambush attacks in the line of duty,” he listed out.
“Where do any of these people go? Where do any of their families go to get reparations?”
Miller argued that the toll of illegal immigration is immeasurable, asserting that it would take countless volumes to fully document the devastation.
“There aren’t enough volumes that could fit into a library to calculate the carnage that has been inflicted by the Democrat party’s policy of open borders,” he remarked.
Miller concluded with condemnation of the long-term impact that millions of migrants have had on the United States.
“Where does our whole country go to get repaid for all of the wealth, all of the prosperity and security that has been stolen from us by decades of uncontrolled, illegal mass migration?” he wrapped up.
“Because we all deserve reparations for what has been stolen from us. It is a tragedy that defies our ability to even describe it.”
The next day, President Trump echoed a similarly scathing tone in his Easter message, accusing Democrats of intentionally flooding the nation with criminals.
“Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country,” Trump said in a statement.
He directed blame at the judiciary and law enforcement officials who, in his view, have failed to stop the chaos.
“Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten!” he continued on Truth Social.
Trump didn’t hold back on his criticism of his predecessor either. “Sleepy Joe Biden purposefully allowed Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, through an Open Borders Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America.”
Trump took a parting shot at Biden and those who helped bring him into office.
“He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing,” he added.
“But to him, and to the person that ran and manipulated the Auto Pen (perhaps our REAL President!), and to all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!”
