Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced the release of 10,000 previously classified documents related to the 1968 assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy.

The declassification is part of President Donald Trump’s January 23 executive order mandating the release of government files related to the deaths of Sen. Kennedy, President John F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A White House summary of the order noted that over five decades later, “the victims’ families and the American people deserve the truth.”

At an April 10 Cabinet meeting, Gabbard informed President Trump that a large team had been assembled to process the materials.

“We have over 100 people working around the clock,” she said. “These have been sitting in boxes in storage for decades. They have never been scanned or seen before.”

President Trump turned to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of the slain senator, for his thoughts on the release.

“I’m very gratified,” Kennedy replied. “I’m very grateful to you, Mr. President.”

Later that morning on Fox & Friends, Gabbard said the initial tranche of documents covers the government’s probe and includes various “questions and theories” that were circulating at the time of the murder.

One of the more startling revelations in the files, according to Gabbard, was that foreign governments were already discussing Kennedy’s death before it had happened.

She explained that diplomatic cables between nations reported on the senator’s assassination prematurely.

“They showed different countries were sending messages to each other around Senator Kennedy’s assassination, saying that he had been assassinated, but that was before he was actually killed.”

“These documents provide the background to more questions than answers,” Gabbard noted.

She confirmed that further releases are planned, with a second batch expected to include over 50,000 pages.

Kennedy Jr. welcomed the transparency, saying, “Lifting the veil on the RFK papers is a necessary step toward restoring trust in American government.”

“I commend President Trump for his courage and his commitment to transparency,” he added. “I’m grateful also to Tulsi Gabbard for her dogged efforts to root out and declassify these documents.”

On the same day, the White House also overhauled its official COVID-19 website, replacing previous information about testing and vaccinations with a new focus on the virus’s origins.

The landing page now features the title: “Lab Leak: True Origins of COVID-19.”

The updated site calls out the Biden administration for their pandemic response and strongly supports the theory that the virus escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China.

The website presents five key arguments supporting the lab-leak theory:

  • The virus carries a trait “not found in nature.”
  • All known COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction to humans, unlike previous pandemics with multiple spillovers.
  • Wuhan houses China’s top SARS research lab, which has a history of risky gain-of-function research.
  • Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology reportedly showed symptoms similar to COVID-19 in late 2019.
  • If there were proof of a natural origin, it would likely have surfaced by now, but it hasn’t.

The data comes from the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, which issued a detailed 557-page report in December 2024.

Their findings concluded that the virus likely leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where EcoHealth Alliance had been conducting U.S.-funded experiments on coronaviruses.

Support for this theory also comes from several corners of the federal government, including the FBI, Department of Energy’s national labs, and former officials like ex-CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

The new website states: “A lab-related incident involving gain-of-function research is the most likely the origin of COVID-19.”

It also criticizes existing government oversight mechanisms as being “incomplete, severely convoluted, and lacking global applicability.”

Further, the site levels accusations against the Biden-era Department of Health and Human Services, EcoHealth Alliance, Fauci adviser David Morens, and New York’s executive branch under Governor Kathy Hochul.

It claims these entities obstructed the House’s investigation into both the origins of COVID-19 and the government’s pandemic response.

The website also points to the sweeping pardon former President Joe Biden issued to Dr. Anthony Fauci shortly before leaving office. The pardon, described as “full and unconditional,” covered actions taken by Fauci dating back to 2014.

  1. J.Edgar Hoover was very deeply involved in the JFK assassination in 1963. He was also involved in the RFK assassination. But knowing how a large portion of Americans believed the JFK murder was a government plot he knew the RFK assassination had to be made to look like it was international. The assassin had to be a foreigner. Why else would foreign countries be exposed to be messaging one another about RFK’s death before it happened. Hoover was an evil SOB as a bullied little child. He had mental issues his entire life. Read about Hoovers life and you will find that he and Putin both had similar childhoods. Both are psychopaths. It was well known that Hoover hated the Kennedy boys.
