Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) revealed on “The Breakfast Club” that she’s cheering for Canada and Mexico because, in her opinion, they aren’t afraid to push back against President Donald Trump.

She said, “They are really the ones that are speaking truth to power right now. They can see what it is, and they were like, we are not messing with this crazy regime from Mar-a-Lago and basically calling them thugs.”

Crockett went on to criticize Trump’s eligibility to run for president after a jury found him guilty of 34 felonies.

“If it was me, there is no way. Right now, I got no convictions, no arrests, no nothing, and I will never be qualified for president in the eyes of the vast majority of them,” she remarked.

“But a guy who ended up becoming a convicted felon and had other cases that were pending; he is good to go.”

Recently, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada called out Trump’s tariffs on steel and aluminum, firmly labeling them as “unjustified.”

Trudeau didn’t back down and promised retaliation, stating, “Tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum would be entirely unjustified.”

On the southern front, an action by the U.S. government caused tensions with Mexico. This week, the State Department set off alarms by categorizing several Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations.

Mexican officials fired back, asserting that such a label misrepresents the cartels’ motives, which are driven by profit rather than political ideologies.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum declared in a statement, “This cannot be an opportunity for the U.S. to invade our sovereignty. With Mexico, it is collaboration and coordination, never subordination or interventionism, and even less invasion.”

Crockett also seized the opportunity to take a swing at Republican supporters, calling them less informed compared to Democrats.

“The less educated folk—and when I say educated, I’m not even talking about formal education, I’m talking about people that literally don’t want to read and enlighten themselves on facts—those are the people that typically vote for the Republicans,” she claimed during her appearance on the radio show.

The Texas representative didn’t hold back when discussing Trump’s recent statement about issuing dividend payments to Americans from savings generated by the Department of Government Efficiency.

“We’re thinking about giving 20% back to the American citizens and 20% back to pay down debt,” Trump announced on Wednesday in Miami.

Speaking with ABC News, she dismissed the idea entirely, claiming, “He’s not the one who had anything to do with the $1200 refunds that people had during the midst of COVID. That was done by a Democratic House and Democratic Senate.”

Referring to the COVID pandemic and its financial relief packages, she stated, “The only reason that those refunds came before was because we were living in different times. This was a time in which, hopefully, we won’t ever go through again.”

“We had a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic,” she continued. “The bad part is that I don’t know if it’s once in a lifetime because we know that Ebola, unfortunately, was detected right here in New York recently.”

“If we continue down this road of getting rid of sciences or deciding that we don’t want to rely on experts as it relates to what they’re telling us to do, or we don’t want to deal with vaccines and medicine in this country,” she ranted on. “Then we may be facing not only our next pandemic, but our next, two, three, or four pandemics because of their incompetence.”

When asked about Trump’s proposed financial refunds, she said firmly, “We are not in the business of giving out money, and honestly, I don’t know what $5,000 will do for you.”

Concerns about Ebola exposure in New York erupted briefly when two individuals from a Manhattan urgent-care facility were rushed to the hospital by workers in hazmat suits last weekend.

However, fears were quickly quelled after Interim Commissioner Dr. Michelle Morse of the NYC Department of Health stated, “Neither patient had exposure to Ebola or other factors that would indicate risk.”
