Texas Gov. Greg Abbott snapped at White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for claiming he was “continuing to politicize” the southern border crisis.
A group of illegal migrants were filmed breaking down a border fence in El Paso on Thursday and storming past members of the Texas National Guard to enter the United States.
The next day, Jean-Pierre thanked the border patrol for getting the incident under control, then blamed Texas’ Republican governor for “border challenges,” when she was asked if President Joe Biden had seen the viral video.
“What I can say is this: I really truly believe that’s a question for the Republican governor of Texas. Right? This is something he should address. That he should actually speak to,” she remarked.
“The president has worked with Congress and the Senate about getting an immigration bill done, making sure that we deal with the border challenges, that we are now seeing,” Jean-Pierre added. “And you have a governor of Texas who is continuing to politicize this.”

Andrew Mahaleris, the press secretary for Abbott, clapped back at the response the same day, slamming the Biden administration for their disastrous “open border policies.”
“The mental gymnastics from the Biden Administration are astonishing,” Mahaleris remarked. “Yesterday’s surge in El Paso is the direct result of the unsustainable chaos President Biden has unleashed on the border.”
“Texas will continue to utilize every tool and strategy to deter and repel illegal crossings as President Biden’s dangerous open border policies encourage migrants from over 150 countries to make unsafe and illegal crossings between ports of entry,” he noted.
According to New York Post reporter Jennie Taer who captured the video with photographer James Breeden on Thursday, “many” of the illegal migrants that tore down the border fence and nearly trampled members of the National Guard were processed and released into the nation.
“This sends the message to people around the world that even if you act like this, you can probably get into the country, and I think they continue to push these boundaries and to see what they can get away with,” she told Fox News.
“Here, they got away with some really, really scary stuff … and appeared to be assaulting some of the National Guardsmen. It was totally out of control.”
The next bunch of illegal aliens to cross our borders should be met with buses, load them up and take them to the WH to introduce themselves to our leader face to face. I’m sure they will all enjoy that. Especially ol’ man biden, he loves illegals. The them to take pictures.
Let them all move in with Joe.
If this had been many other countries these border crossers would have been met with gun fire.
What use is the National Guard if they don’t fire upon the invaders?? The National Guard just stands there watching them break thru a barrier!!
Abbott should authorize use of deadly force.
Time to start “shooting” the SOB’s. This IS NOT MIGRATION. This is a foreign invasion. They may not have weapons or are wearing a military uniform, but they are illegal invaders and must be pushed back one way or the other.
Sorry, unless there is mass deportations it is already too late. The illegals will be voting in blue states and cities. Even if they don’t, they will still be counted on the next census giving Democrats a significant number of new representatives in the House. As much as I like Trumps idea to deport the illegals immediately, the liberal courts will put a stay on that and things will drag on, and on, and on.
