The Justice Department detonated a political bombshell Friday by releasing more than three million pages tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, unleashing fresh scrutiny of elite figures pulled into the late financier’s orbit.
The newly released cache immediately ignited unwanted attention around former President Bill Clinton, former Prince Andrew, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and a former Obama White House counsel, all referenced across emails and documents now made public.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the review process was finished and stressed that the White House exercised “no oversight” over the release, a declaration meant to insulate the disclosure from political influence claims.
One of the most explosive disclosures centered on an email sent by Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell to an address linked to Clinton that included a graphic compliment about the recipient’s anatomy, according to a Trump administration official familiar with the unredacted material.

The message raised immediate questions over whether Maxwell was corresponding directly with Clinton or an aide using an account associated with the former president, an issue clouded by redactions and Clinton’s long-standing denial that he personally used email.
Emails tied to the address repeatedly referenced Clinton in the third person, adding uncertainty about authorship while amplifying the political sensitivity surrounding the exchange.
The email, dated with the bizarre timestamp “Sat, 01 Jan 4501,” was signed by Maxwell and referenced gossip she claimed to have shared.
“I could not help myself — there was one juicy little tit bit I did let out — The one about what a supper stud you are and how I have a crush on you and how you are hung like a horse and — well you get the picture. Hope you don’t mind,” she wrote.
Clinton has denied wrongdoing connected to Epstein, and a spokesperson for the former president declined comment following the document release.
Bill and Hillary Clinton have previously called for the full disclosure of Epstein-related records, even as the Republican-led House Oversight Committee escalated its probe.
The panel voted last week to hold both Clintons in contempt of Congress after they defied subpoenas tied to the investigation.
Across the Atlantic, the document trove revived scrutiny of Epstein’s relationship with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, former Duke of York, through a series of emails exchanged after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor.
Emails signed “A,” with a signature resembling “HRH Duke of York KG,” outlined plans in August 2010 for Epstein to introduce a 26-year-old Russian woman to the recipient while she was expected to be in London.
Prince Andrew’s Fresh Pics Are Absolutely Damning

In one exchange, Epstein described the woman as “26, russian, clevere [sic] beautiful, trustworthy and yes she has your email,” after asking whether the recipient would enjoy meeting her.
The recipient replied that he would be in Geneva “until the morning of the 22nd but would be delighted to see her,” while asking whether she would be carrying a message and whether any additional details were available.
A separate September 2010 email chain referenced arranging private time and floated the idea of dining at Buckingham Palace, with Epstein responding affirmatively.

The released emails do not allege criminal wrongdoing, but they added to years of scrutiny surrounding Mountbatten-Windsor’s association with Epstein.
The document release also included photographs described as disturbing, appearing to show a man believed to be Andrew crouched over a woman lying on the floor, including one image in which he looked directly into the camera.
Another powerful name pulled into the disclosure was Bill Gates, who forcefully rejected claims that he contracted a sexually transmitted disease from “Russian girls,” obtained antibiotics from Epstein, and secretly passed them to Melinda Gates.
A spokesperson for the billionaire labeled the allegations “absolutely absurd and completely false,” arguing the emails instead showed Epstein’s resentment over a severed relationship.
“The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame,” the spokesperson said.

The claims originated in emails Epstein sent to himself in July 2013, including drafts appearing to be written from the perspective of Gates adviser Boris Nikolic during his resignation from the Gates Foundation.
One message accused Gates of asking for antibiotics, deleting emails, and engaging in behavior described as morally inappropriate and potentially illegal, allegations Gates has repeatedly denied.
Gates has acknowledged regretting his past association with Epstein, who died in a New York City jail in 2019, while maintaining there was no impropriety.
The file release also exposed exchanges between Epstein and New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch that appeared to discuss women and introductions, with Epstein urging private phone calls rather than written records.

In one April 2013 exchange, Epstein advised Tisch to “go slow” with a woman and referenced convincing her not to return to Ukraine.
A later June 2013 thread included Epstein inviting Tisch to visit his island and suggesting introductions to another woman described only in vague terms.
Another set of emails spotlighted Kathy Ruemmler, former White House counsel under President Barack Obama and later top lawyer at Goldman Sachs, who described Epstein as “wonderful Jeffrey” and told an associate, “I adore him.”
The December 2015 exchange appeared to show Epstein arranging and paying for Ruemmler’s first-class travel to Europe, with a redacted intermediary proposing to charge the flights to Epstein’s credit card.
Ruemmler provided frequent flyer details and routing preferences while expressing gratitude, later responding to praise of Epstein’s generosity by writing, “Well, I adore him. It’s like having another older brother!”
At the time, Ruemmler led the white-collar crime practice at Latham and Watkins, which has stated Epstein was never a client.
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky), who sponsored the Epstein Files Transparency Act, requested a meeting with Deputy Attorney General Blanche to review the unredacted files on Friday.
“We have seen a blanket approach to redactions in some areas, while in other cases, victim names were not redacted at all,” Khanna and Massie wrote.
“Congress cannot properly assess the Department’s handling of the Epstein and Maxwell cases without access to the complete record.”
