Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) claimed that a nameless person would “die” because President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of “treason.”
Tensions in the nation’s capital surged Tuesday after Trump declared that former President Barack Obama had orchestrated a scheme to interfere with the 2016 election, an operation Trump described as “treason.”
The president’s remarks came shortly after a new report from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard outlined a detailed timeline implicating top Democratic officials.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “They caught President Obama absolutely cold,” alleging that a group led by Obama, including former FBI Director James Comey, ex-DNI James Clapper, and CIA Director John Brennan, had worked behind closed doors to manipulate the election process.
“What they did to this country, starting in 2016, but going up all the way, going up to 2020 and the election, they tried to rig the election,” he added. “And they got caught. And there should be very severe consequences for that.”
HOLY SHIT… it’s happening.
Trump is not joking. He is going full scorched-earth on Barack HUSSEIN Obama and his cabal.
“After what they did to me, whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time to go after people.”

When asked about the extent of the operation, Trump named several high-profile figures and described a specific location where he believed the plans were made.
“Based on what I read, and I read pretty much what you read, it would be President Obama. He started it,” Trump accused.
“And Biden was there with him, and Comey was there, and Clapper, the whole group was there. Brennan. They were all there. In a room. Right here, this was the room.”
The president didn’t mince words, laying direct blame on the former president. “The leader of the gang was President Obama. Barack Hussein Obama,” he said. “He’s guilty. This was treason. This was every word you could think of.”
“They tried to steal the election. They tried to obfuscate the election,” Trump noted. “They did things that nobody’s ever even imagined, even in other countries.”

Trump pointed to what he called irrefutable documentation to back his accusations, linking Obama’s alleged actions to a coordinated coup attempt.
According to the president, the operation allegedly involved former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and others.
“That Obama was trying to lead a coup. And it was with Hillary Clinton, with all these other people, but Obama headed it up,” he pointed out.
Trump’s words sparked outrage among some Democrats, including Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), who offered a stark warning on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the rhetoric could lead to violence.
Referring to the Capitol riots, Himes stated, “What troubles me most about this is that I’m standing in a spot that on January 6, 2021 was overrun by a violent mob intent on hanging the vice president and killing people like me. And it was all driven by a lie propagated by Donald Trump, and now we’re seeing that playbook again.”
He dramatically asked, “Who is going to die because they’ve decided that they need a distraction away from the Epstein calamity, which they brought upon themselves?”
When MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace pressed him further, Himes elaborated, warning of potential consequences. “When you use language like treason… some tiny percentage of the population is just crazy enough to decide that they need to do something about it.”
In response to Trump, former President Obama rejected the allegations through his spokesman, calling them a far-fetched diversion from more pressing issues.
“Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response,” said spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush, speaking on Obama’s behalf.
“But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.”
Rodenbush claimed that the report referenced by Gabbard didn’t conflict with existing intelligence assessments, noting that previous reviews, including one overseen by then-Senator Marco Rubio, had already concluded Russia did attempt to meddle in the election but did not alter any vote counts.
But Gabbard stood her ground during a Tuesday appearance on Fox News. She challenged both Obama and members of the media for failing to engage with what she believes are serious revelations.
“This is the thing that I think people should pay attention to is neither the message from President Obama’s office, neither the statements coming from Democrats in Congress today and their friends in the propaganda media, none of them are addressing this fact that there was a shift,” she began.

Gabbard pointed to a stark difference in the intelligence community’s assessment before and after Trump’s victory in 2016.
“A 180-degree shift from the intelligence community’s assessment leading up to the election to the one that President Obama directed be produced after Donald Trump won the election that completely contradicted those assessments that had come previously.”
She accused Democrats like Himes and Sen. Mark Warner of avoiding the core issue.
“First Tulsi cooks up some insane “Obama-Russia-Hoax” conspiracy that’s a clear distraction from Epstein,” Warner tweeted on Tuesday. “Then Trump dumps weird videos on Truth Social.”

Gabbard was unimpressed by all of their responses to her bombshell report. “It’s the art of deflection coming from former President Obama, as well as his friends who are still in Congress today, Senator Warner and Congressman Jim Himes,” she accused.
Gabbard highlighted that the initial intelligence findings which concluded there was no evidence of Russia attempting to sway the 2016 outcome.
She added that the altered assessment came only after Obama convened his national security team.
“President Obama then directed his DNI James Clapper to lead the effort to create this new intelligence community assessment that detailed not if — but how — Moscow attempted to influence the outcome of the U.S. election,” she concluded.
