Hunter Biden’s Unhinged Interview Sparks 2028 Power Play Rumors

Hunter Biden’s explosive three-hour interview has ignited new speculation about his political ambitions.

Clay Travis, founder of OutKick, suggested during his appearance on Fox News’ “Will Cain Show” that Hunter may be eyeing a run for the White House in 2028.

The son of former President Joe Biden, who remains embroiled in controversy over past substance abuse and scandal, discussed both his longtime addiction to cocaine and his father’s reported Ambien use before the disastrous June 2024 debate against President Donald Trump.

What followed was an explosive tirade targeting high-profile Democrats including actor George Clooney, strategist David Axelrod, communications specialist Anita Dunn, and various former Obama staffers, all operatives he believes undermined his father.

Clay Travis questioned the motives behind Hunter’s unfiltered media tour.

“Why is Hunter Biden doing this, though, Charlie, I think is one of the big questions out here?” he pondered. “Why is he sitting for all these expletive-filled rant interviews?”

“I got a theory. I think Hunter Biden wants to run for president in 2028,” Travis posited.

“And I think he sees himself [running]. I’m not saying it’s a smart move.”

Travis speculated that Hunter sees himself as some kind of political messiah for his family.

“His brain is drug-addled. It makes no sense. His dad, remember, said that Hunter was the smartest man he knew,” Travis remarked.

“I think Hunter, in his mind, thinks he could be president of the United States, and that’s the only reason that any of this makes sense.”

The conservative commentator accused the Biden administration of being the least effective in his lifetime.

“I will say George Clooney was 100% right, and Hunter Biden was 100% wrong,” he noted. “This is the least successful administration in my life. The Biden administration was a disaster.

“His dad didn’t have the mental or physical capability to be president,” Travis continued.

“And unlike all the other Democrat leaders who were shrinking violets and were cowards, George Clooney stepped up and told the truth eventually.”

Before the 2024 debate, Democratic party leadership continued to back Joe Biden for another term.

However, the president’s disjointed performance, which was marked by stammering, a lack of clarity, and moments of complete confusion, sparked widespread panic across the party.

Democrats and major media outlets immediately called for him to withdraw from the race.

Major Democratic donors reportedly began pulling support, freezing campaign contributions until the president stepped aside.

High-profile figures like George Clooney went public with their concerns. In a New York Times opinion piece from July 2024, the actor claimed Biden was no longer mentally fit for office.

Meanwhile, on Fox News’ “The Five,” co-host Jesse Watters added his two-cents about the interview.

He said Hunter “doesn’t give an F” about what party insiders think and even suggested California Gov. Gavin Newsom couldn’t match Hunter’s brashness.

Watters characterized the younger Biden as “macho,” claiming, “This is the guy the memo was about. This is a guy who doesn’t give an F. He’s macho. He’s bold.”

Watters argued Hunter was speaking with the same voice as his father, saying, “They may have killed off Joe Biden, but Hunter Biden is very much alive. Make no mistake, everything he’s saying is exactly what Joe Biden is thinking. This is dark Brandon Jr.”

He went on to mock the Democratic Party’s handling of the Biden situation.

“Gavin Newsom doesn’t have an ounce of that kind of swagger because that is real,” he said about the potential 2028 presidential candidate.

“The problem with the Democratic Party, the autopsy, whatever you want to call it, they don’t even want to talk about Biden. They don’t want to see Joe. They don’t want to see Hunter.”

Watters suggested that Hunter is ready to take vengeance on behalf of his politically wounded father.

“But this guy is going to be on a revenge tour, the likes of which we’ve never seen, and his dad is writing a book. So they’re never going to get rid of him,” he said.

“The only way they do it, Tom Homan has to deport the Biden family to go spend time with Irish Rosie [O’Donnell],” he joked. “And I bet the Democrats would say, ‘Tom, get him out.’”

Hunter’s rhetoric has also triggered backlash from immigration officials. Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons fired back on Fox News after Hunter’s inflammatory comments about immigrants.

“That’s just idiotic. It’s dumb. You know, to make comments like that is crazy, because under the last administration, those are the problems we have right now,” he remarked.

“Under these former administrations, President Obama, President Biden, it’s made illegal immigration common, in the commonplace, and that’s just not the case,” Lyons said during an interview with Fox’s John Roberts.

The younger Biden went on a profanity-laced tirade about immigration during the interview.

“All these Democrats say, you have to talk about and realize that people are really upset about illegal immigration. F— you,” he said.

“How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you think you have food on your f—— table? Who do you think washes your dishes?”

“I’ll tell you what, if I became president in two years from now, or four years from now, or three years from now, I would pick up the phone and call the f‑‑‑ing president in El Salvador and say, ‘You either f‑‑‑ing send them back or I’m gonna f‑‑‑ing invade,'” Hunter added.

“It’s a f‑‑‑ing crime what they’re doing. He’s a f‑‑‑ing dictator thug.”
