Democratic Senator John Fetterman bucked his party to celebrate the Israel’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and military leadership on Friday.
The coordinated assault took place late Friday night, when Israeli forces conducted aerial strikes and drone operations targeting several sensitive locations inside Iran.
Among the sites hit were critical elements of Iran’s nuclear facilities and military defense systems.
The operation resulted in significant casualties, including the deaths of multiple high-ranking Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists.

Fetterman, who is well known for diverging from the stance of many lawmakers in his party, wasted no time voicing support for the Israeli offensive.
He reposted a news report announcing the killing of a top Iranian general and commented, “thank u, next.”
Responding to confirmation that several nuclear scientists were among the dead, he wrote, “Here’s your negotiations.”
According to the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations, the death toll from Friday’s strike has reached 78, with more than 320 others injured. The ambassador also claimed that most of those killed were non-combatants.

Despite these reports, Fetterman did not retreat from his endorsement of the military action.
In another post, he wrote, “Beepers v2.0,” referencing a previous Israeli tactic where explosive-laden pagers were used to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. He followed up with, “I love it.”
“Our commitment to Israel must be absolute and I fully support this attack,” Fetterman added.
He went further, urging Israel to continue its campaign. “Keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel,” he stated. “We must provide whatever is necessary — military, intelligence, weaponry — to fully back Israel in striking Iran.”
The airstrike reportedly caught Iran’s defense systems off guard. Intelligence reports suggest that Israeli agents had pre-positioned drones inside Iran in preparation for the assault.
These unmanned aircraft were used to take out segments of Iran’s air defense infrastructure, effectively neutralizing their ability to fend off incoming attacks.
Friday’s operation coincided with efforts by President Donald Trump’s administration to engage Iran in nuclear negotiations.
Steve Witkoff, who serves as Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, had been scheduled to meet with Iranian diplomats this weekend to further discussions on the future of Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. The abrupt escalation appears to have derailed those diplomatic efforts.
Trump weighed in on the incident via a post on Truth Social, revealing that he had set a firm timeline for Iranian compliance with his terms.
“Two months ago I gave Iran a 60 day ultimatum to ‘make a deal.’ They should have done it! Today is day 61,” he wrote. “I told them what to do, but they just couldn’t get there. Now they have, perhaps, a second chance!”
🚨 President Trump: “I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done. I told them it would be much worse…” pic.twitter.com/yQShFzB9kt

“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done,” he added on X.
Trump urged the remaining Iranian leadership to return to the negotiating table, stressing that the alternative would be far worse.
“Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left… [Just do it, before it is too late],” he warned.
Back in Tehran, the Iranian government responded with force. A barrage of missiles was launched at Tel Aviv in retaliation for the Israeli strikes.
The Israeli military confirmed that up to 100 missiles were fired in waves throughout Friday.
While defense systems intercepted many of the projectiles and others reportedly missed their intended targets, some did manage to breach Israel’s defenses.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that Friday’s operation was only the beginning of a broader campaign.
“More is on the way,” he said, adding that Israel’s mission to dismantle Iran’s nuclear infrastructure was far from over.
I don’t know if they have invented the name yet, but John Fetterman is turning out to be a DINO. Democrat in name only. Why, I would bet that somewhere there are Party leaders on both sides who would trade him for cronyn. If it could be done. And the Republicans would bet the best of the deal. Especially john cornhole is going to get beaten by another Republican.
And, by the way, Senator John Fetterman is only a “rouge” to those who hate America and all that President Trump stands for. Truth, Justice and the American Way.
