State Allows 100k Residents to Vote Without Citizenship Proof

1 min read

In a controversial ruling on Friday, the Arizona Supreme Court decided that nearly 100,000 residents can cast full ballots in the upcoming November elections without having to prove their citizenship.

This decision came in response to a clerical error that had left many wondering whether these voters would be eligible to participate in state and local elections.

Just days before, election officials had discovered that approximately 98,000 residents were registered to vote but had not submitted the required proof of citizenship needed to vote in state and local races.

The Maricopa County Recorder’s office identified a computing mistake that marked these voters as eligible to cast ballots in federal, state, and local elections.

The issue sparked legal action, questioning whether those affected could still participate in the election at all.

The Arizona Supreme Court’s ruling was seen as a victory for the state’s Democratic leaders, including Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, who praised the court’s decision as a win for voting rights.

Fontes, a key figure in Arizona’s left-leaning political landscape, celebrated the outcome, stating that it was a matter of ensuring every eligible voter has a voice.

“Today marks a significant victory for those whose fundamental right to vote was under scrutiny,” Fontes said.

“The court faced a stark choice: to allow voters to participate in just a few federal races on a limited ballot, or to make their voices heard across hundreds of decisions on a full ballot that includes a variety of local and state offices.”

Arizona, like several other states, has implemented strict rules requiring proof of citizenship for voting in state and local elections.

However, the federal government does not mandate the same level of scrutiny, allowing voters who haven’t shown proof of citizenship to still vote in federal elections.

The ruling raises serious questions about election integrity, especially in a swing state like Arizona.

The court’s decision sidesteps the concerns of those who believe that only verified citizens should have the right to vote in local and state races.

  1. This Judge needs to be indicted for fraud. Whoever is the Judge needs to be removed immediately. This is nothing more than corruption and cheating. Bad Judgement as they come.

  2. No regard for Constitutional Law. It clearly states you must be a US citizen to vote in Federal elections. How do you know they’re citizens? How about proof with ID and verification? You’re not violating anyone’s rights by mandatory ID checks.

  3. “stating that it was a matter of ensuring every eligible voter has a voice.”

But every eligible voter’s voice is diluted by every ineligible person who is allowed to vote. Doesn’t sound like a “win” to me.

  4. How do you think an unknown bureaucrat ,( who happened to be in charge of counting the votes), won the state governorship without even campaigning to became governor? It wasn’t magic or her sparkling personality!

  5. You’re right it’s actually it destroys legal voters right to a fair election. Communism knocking at our door.

  6. Tengriss_22, you are right and everyone who is a legal voter should have no problem showing they are legal citizens. This is utterly unforgivable for AZ to do this.

  7. You’re right about eligible voter. That is a citizen. Amendment XV states that citizens vote. Only Congress can change the law with an amendment to the Constitution, not state or federal or election courts. But the marxists in charge have disregarded the Constitution for a long time. Looking back the last three and a half years, their first breach was signing 94 eo’s to open our borders. This also breached their oaths as president and vice president. None of what they have done to our country has been legal, and ripping up our Constitution and Bill of Rights. If any harris lovers are reading this, it is a choice of the rule of law Republic and mob democracy.
