Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Vice President Kamala Harris’ rumored running mate, thinks that former President Trump regrets his ticket.

“This guy is not exactly off to a good start, and it is clear that Donald Trump really has buyer’s remorse with his pick,” Shapiro told reporters on Friday.

Shapiro’s remarks came in response to a jab Vance made about him for speaking like he’s doing a poor impression of former President Obama.

“I’ve seen a couple of clips of him talk and he talks like Barack Obama,” Vance said in an Friday interview on the Full Send Podcast. “It’s like if I tried to do a really bad impression of Barack Obama that’s what it would sound like, this guy from Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro.”

Shapiro described Vance’s comments as a “weird insult,” do to the former president’s exemplary articulation.

“Barack Obama was probably our most gifted orator of my time, so that’s kind of a weird insult,” he shot back.

“I’ll say this about JD Vance,” he added. “It’s real hard being honest with the American people when you’re not being honest with yourself. JD Vance is a total phony baloney.”

“He is the most inorganic candidate I think I have ever seen on the national stage. He doesn’t know what he believes, and that is why it is impossible for him to articulate a coherent message to the American people because he doesn’t believe it,” he concluded.

Speculation that Shapiro is Harris’s running mate is at a fever-pitch after top contenders canceled their engagements this weekend.

In addition to the Pennsylvania governor, her suspected candidates include Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (D), Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D), Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Harris and her to-be-determined running mate are slated to hold a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday, and the if city’s mayor, Cherelle Parker, is correct, Shapiro has already secured his spot as Harris’s VP pick.

Parker preemptively spilled the beans in a Friday tweet, that she was “proud to be back with so many leaders” who were supporting Harris “for President” and Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA) “for VP.”

Ernest Owens, the president of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists (PABJ), tweeted that “political sources” told him “a staffer connected” to Parker’s team had “accidentally posted the video.”

“The video was scheduled for Monday….after VP Kamala Harris was expected to announce her pick,” Owens posted. “It’s Josh Shapiro, y’all.”

In light of Harris allegedly selecting Shapiro as her running mate, a number of pro-Palestinian staffers at the White House have expressed their intention “to quit,” with “one donor” allegedly threatening to “withhold millions.”

Back in 1993, Shapiro authored a pro-Israel op-ed where he questioned the viability of a two-state solution.

In that piece, Shapiro disclosed his experience volunteering at an Israeli Army base and voiced his opinion that Palestinians were “too battle-minded to be able to establish a peaceful homeland of their own.”

“Using history as precedent, peace between Arabs and Israelis is virtually impossible and will never come,” wrote Shapiro, who was a 20-year-old student at the University of Rochester at the time.

“Palestinians will not coexist peacefully,” Shapiro stated. “They do not have the capabilities to establish their own homeland and make it successful even with the aid of Israel and the United States. They are too battle-minded to be able to establish a peaceful homeland of their own.”

Manuel Bonder, Shapiro’s spokesperson, mentioned in a statement that the governor’s stance has evolved over the past thirty years and highlighted his support for a two-state solution.

Shapiro came under additional fire, when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court announced they will hear arguments from Ellen Greenberg’s family, a Philadelphia teacher who died in 2011 in a case officially ruled as a suicide, a conclusion her family disputes.

Greenberg, 27, an educator at Juniata Park Academy, was discovered deceased in her Manayunk apartment in 2011, bearing over 20 stab wounds.

Ellen’s parents have long endeavored to overturn the official determination of their daughter’s death as a suicide. Their lawyers have claimed that the investigation was mishandled.

This prolonged legal struggle now advances to Pennsylvania’s highest court, which could be another hurdle for Shapiro.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office reviewed the case in 2019 and concluded the death was a suicide.

In 2022, under then-Attorney General Josh Shapiro, the office came to the same conclusion after conducting another review between December 2021 and January 2022.

  1. Shapiro needs to get a life and leave Trump and Vance alone! If he accepts Kammie’s offer for VP
HE is really going to have buyer’s remorse!!!

  2. Does this DUD, as in empty shot, have an ability to tell the truth? He looks creepy, sounds creepy, and is running his mouth to try and counter Vance. Voters who go dimwit just pick the worst!
