Law enforcement officers assigned to protect Republican nominee Donald Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania allegedly had a position on the roof used by the shooter before the assassination attempt.

According to a bombshell accusation by Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO), the agent stationed on top of the roof abandoned their station due to the “hot weather.”

On Monday, Hawley posted a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on X, formerly Twitter.

The public missive criticized Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s prior statement that security was not stationed on the roof because it was “sloped,” but a whistleblower with “direct knowledge” of the agency’s planning said otherwise.

In her initial interview following the July 13 assassination attempt, Cheatle told ABC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas that the building was outside of the Secret Service’s perimeter, and claimed that that local law enforcement was responsible for securing the “outer perimeter of the building.”

But according to Hawley’s letter, there was supposed to be a “law enforcement presence” on the roof of the building and an individual was “specifically assigned,” but “abandoned his or her post” because of the hot weather.

“The whistleblower further alleges that concerns over the heat prompted law enforcement to forego patrolling [the building] and instead to station security personnel inside the building,” the letter contends.

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) plans to force a House to vote on a resolution to impeach Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who faces heavy scrutiny over the assassination attempt.

Mace introduced the resolution with a privileged motion, compelling leadership to act within 48 hours, right after Cheatle testified before the House Oversight Committee on Monday about the Secret Service’s failure to protect Trump.

“The House has NEVER voted on an impeachment of an inferior civil officer… but historic times call for historic measures,” Mace tweeted on Monday.

In a rare show of bipartisanship, both Democrats and Republicans have called on Cheatle to resign from her post.

During the hearing, Mace went as far as asking Cheatle if she wanted to use five minutes of questioning to “draft” a resignation letter, which the agency director shot down.

Mace did get Cheatle to confirm several points, including that the shooting was a “colossal failure,” that it was preventable, and that the Secret Service had been transparent.

However, Mace critiqued Cheatle’s claim of being unaware of how her opening statement had leaked, calling it “bulls***.”

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD), the top Democrat on the panel, released an equally unheard of bipartisan letter after the hearing ended.

They also urged Cheatle to resign, stating that she “failed” to provide sufficient answers during questioning.

Mace said that the House “cannot wait for Director Cheatle to resign” and insisted that she “must be impeached immediately,” warning that the lives of all Secret Service protectees are at risk.

Former President Donald Trump told Fox News that he would be willing to declassifying the investigation into his assassination attempt if he wins the election.

Trump, along with his running mate Republican Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, appeared on “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Monday night, and the titular host asked Trump if he would declassify the investigation files if he won the presidency.

“I would yes. There should be nothing to hide here,” Trump replied. “But I think frankly, many things are known right now. But some of the things that are known are bad. How did somebody get on that roof and why wasn’t he reported?”

“Because people saw he was on the roof. You had Trumpers screaming,” he added. “The woman in the red shirt, she was screaming, ‘There’s a man on the roof.’ And other people are [saying], ‘There is a man on the roof with a gun.’”

“And that was quite a bit before I walked onto the stage,” Trump noted. “So you would’ve thought somebody would’ve done something about it.”

  1. The reason that post was abandoned was to give the shooter a clear shot. USSS has become as corrupt as the FBI.
