Former House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) claimed the Republican Party has evolved into a “cult led by a thug” due to former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric.
In Monday interview on MSNBC’s “The Last Word,” Pelosi blamed Trump’s family for failing to talk him out of running to retake the Oval Office.
“I do wish there would be an intervention from his family, assuming they loved him, that they would intervene, that the Republican Party would have an intervention, they have become a cult to a thug,” she remarked.
Pelosi said the evolution was “really a tragedy” for the GOP and what they used to represent. She also claimed that she was “concerned” about the “insecurities” of “voters out there who fall for his line.”
She once again called back to the Capitol riot as Trump’s alleged chief offense against the nation.
“But I’m here tonight to say to you on this day, when he tried to return to the scene of the crime, he didn’t dare come to the Capitol, as he didn’t dare come to the Capitol on January 6,” she continued.
Pelosi’s remarks were made ahead of Trump’s visit to Washington, D.C. on Thursday, where he indeed did visit Capitol Hill for the first time since January 6, 2021.
“We cannot let this be whitewashed, this is a disservice to our Founders, the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform who have fought for our freedom that he wants to dismantle and the aspirations of our children to live in this great country,” she rambled on.
Ironically, the California Democrat was caught blaming herself for failing to bring in the National Guard to protect the Capitol in video footage released by House Republicans on Monday
“We have responsibility, Terri,” Pelosi told her chief of staff Terri McCullough while they were being evacuated. ”We did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have. This is ridiculous.”
“You’re gonna ask me in the middle of the thing, when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff, ‘Should we call the Capitol Police?’ I mean the National Guard. Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?” the former speaker said in footage shot by her own daughter.
McCullough replied that “they thought that they had sufficient resources,” which Pelosi wasn’t pleased with.
“It’s not a question of how they had … they don’t know! They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more,” she retorted.
Elsewhere in the MSNBC interview, Pelosi continued to blame Trump and said that he “knows he’s an imposter.”
“Understand this, this guy, you know the former president, he is a master of projection,” she told the outlet.
“Everything he says about somebody else, whether it’s a judge in the courtroom, a witness, a juror, a member of Congress, a woman, and opponent in an election, everything he said is a projection of his own shortcomings.”
She also slammed Trump as “crooked,” “lazy,” and “wacky” on the liberal show. “He knows he’s an imposter. So we are going to do psychoanalysis I think we need to have him in person in front of some healthcare professionals.”
Nasty Nancy forgets. When you point a finger at someone, you have THREE fingers pointing back at yourself! And she is definitely looking in a mirror!

Abd speaking of family, maybe Biden’s family should have convinced him not to seek reelection due to his dementia and paved the way for another candidate…it’s a little too late now. Racism was never as big a problem as it became under Obama and Biden. They have taken racism to a new low level. Again, they are accusing the conservatives of doing exactly what they themselves are and have been doing for years. America has awoken from their sleep and now see the dems for what they really are…..racist.
