Shortly after being booked at the Fulton County jail on Thursday night, Trump took to the media to recount his “terrible experience.”

Former President Donald Trump made history in a grim fashion when he voluntarily surrounded in Georgia after being charged with 13 counts related to the 2020 election.

Shortly after being released, he gave separate interviews to both Fox News Digital and Newsmax.

“They insisted on a mugshot and I agreed to do that,” he told Fox Digital. “This is the only time I’ve ever taken a mugshot.”

“It is not a comfortable feeling — especially when you’ve done nothing wrong,” he added.

After returning to New Jersey, the former president spoke with Greg Kelly of Newsmax.

“I went through an experience that I never thought I’d have to go through, but then I’ve gone through the same experience three other times. In my whole life, I didn’t know anything about indictments. And now I’ve been indicted, like, four times,” he said.

“Everything is just like one thing after the next. What they want to do is they want to try and wear you out which they would never do.”

Trump shared the mugshot on his Truth Social platform as well as posting on X, the platform formally known as Twitter, for the first time in two years.

He added “Election Interference” and “Never Surrender!” with the photo.

Reactions Vary Across the Political Sphere

Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law, said the booking “solidified” his odds of winning in 2024 despite his opponents contrary opinions.

“I don’t think it will work. I think people understand what is going on, and I think tonight just solidified Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States,” she said.

Fellow 2024 candidate Vivek Ramaswamy called the arrest “shameful”.

“This is an indictment not of Donald Trump, but of our national civic health,” he said in comments to Fox news’ Laura Ingraham.

“That we have gotten to a place where we have a party in power that will use any charge in any jurisdiction — four at the same time — in the middle of an election, designed, mark my words, to stop their lead political rival currently from running,” he finished.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin took her comments a step further, alluding to civil war.

“I think of those who are conducting this travesty and creating this two-tiered system of justice and I want to ask them, ‘What the heck? Do you want us to be in civil war?’ Because that’s what’s going to happen,” Palin told Newsmax host Eric Bolling.

“We’re not going to keep putting up with this. And Eric, I like that you suggested that we need to get angry. We do need to rise up and take our country back.”

  1. Routine booking
BUT If jailed, Secret Service can take over Jail as Protective space & remove staffers from site. Trumpwins

    • I was kind of hoping he wouldn’t pay the bail, and see the Secret Service do just that. What a backfire that would have been.

  2. What really bothers me is these people who are dividing our Country for their own personnel gains or they are so filled with such hatred they will do anything to destroy Trump i.e. Hillary and George. If you pay attention you will be able to see right through them
