Hillary Clinton Declares Biden’s Age a Problem

1 min read

In a break from other Democrats, Hillary Clinton said President Joe Biden’s age is a legitimate concern going into the 2024 elections after being asked about a G7 incident the US media kept quiet.

Biden put on another embarrassing display of elderly confusion, this time in front of an international audience.

Just before the start of the Group of Seven summit in Hiroshima, Japan, Joe and First Lady Jill Biden met with Japanese leader Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko.

The trouble started with a handshake. After shaking hands with Kishida, Biden bent over strangely and clenched his hands into fists as though preparing to fight as he approached Yuko for a greeting.

After he managed to shake her hand, Biden shuffled around in clear confusion as he struggled to find his designated photo spot. Kishida stepped in to guide Biden to place.

Later that day, after arriving late for a tour of the Itsukushima Shrine with other world leaders, Biden tripped and nearly fell down a small flight of stairs as he attempted to join them.

Almost no mainstream media organizations in the US covered Biden’s latest gaffe besides the New York Post. However, it was covered by international media such as The Independent.

Hillary Clinton Chimes In

Financial Times editor Edward Luce spoke to Clinton at the Financial Times Weekend Festival in Washington DC where he brought up Biden’s stumble.

“There was that heart-stopping moment when he almost fell over coming down the stairs a day or two ago,” he said. “He didn’t use a railing, and Jill wasn’t there with him.”

“Every time that happens, your heart is in your mouth because these things could be consequential. Is that a concern?” he asked.

Unlike other Democrats who have waived off concerns about Biden’s age, Clinton replied, “It’s a concern for anyone. We’ve had presidents who had fallen before who were a lot younger, and people didn’t go into heart palpitations.”

“But his age is an issue, and people have every right to consider it.”
