After the FBI arrested a young Air National Guardsman for allegedly leaking Pentagon files, Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene defended his actions on Twitter.
After days or swirling uncertainty over Pentagon documents that appeared to be leaked online, the FBI took 21-year-old Jack Teixeira into custody without incident.
Attorney General Merrick Garland gave a brief public statement on Thursday afternoon stating Teixeira may face charges under the Espionage Act.
“Today the Justice Department arrested Jack Douglas Teixeira in connection with an investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention and transmission of classified national defense information,” Garland said.
Teixeira ran a group called Thug Shaker Central on the gaming chat platform Discord. There, he’s alleged to have posted over 100 classified documents on various issues, from Ukraine to international spying.
Authorities will continue to investigate how a young Air Guard member gained access to such a wide range of materials, including some intended for senior Pentagon leadership.
“Within the government, there’s oftentimes over classification,” said David Schenker, who served in the Geroge W. Bush and Trump administrations.
“But a lot of these seem to be, really, really sensitive.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene Goes on Defense
Unlike most members of Congress, Greene defended Teixeira’s actions as understandable, if not justified.
“Jake Teixeira is white, male, christian, and antiwar. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime,” Greene said on Twitter.
“Ask yourself who is the real enemy? A young low level national guardsmen? Or the administration that is waging war in Ukraine, a non-NATO nation, against nuclear Russia without war powers?” she added.
“They couldn’t find the Supreme Court leaker who put Supreme Court Justices lives in danger, but magically, they can find 21-year-old low level National Guardsman “responsible” for exposing the truth about Ukraine,” she went on to say.
Her tweets were met with criticism from both the left and right.
What I most admire about MTG is that she is not afraid to boldly defend her convictions! I don’t have to agree with her stance all the time But I know which side of the argument she is on and this makes her a stark contrast to regular elected politicians.

She has a point. One has to question how Nationakl Security and Military Secure Document Handling Regulations could be so totally hosed that a low level service member, in the Guard no less, was able to handle these documents.
I blame Biden and his cabal of wokesters.
But then what could one expect from FJB when he leaves classified materials strewn across the East coast!
