Pelosi Calls for Media to Censor Trump

1 min read

Representative Nancy Pelosi, the former House Speaker, said the media should not cover Trump’s negative comments about Vice President Kamala Harris.

The political battlefield heated up again this week as former President Donald Trump took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris during a CNN interview.

Trump suggested that Harris has “bigger cognitive problems” than President Joe Biden, sparking a heated response from Pelosi.

She condemned both Trump’s comments and the media coverage of his remarks, asking why such rhetoric was even given air time.

“Why would you even cover that?” Pelosi said in frustration. “This is a person who’s not on the level. He is their nominee for president. He is incompetent. Let’s not even talk about the silliness of it all.”

Trump’s latest jab at Harris, the nation’s first female Vice President, clearly hit a nerve with Pelosi.

At a rally earlier that day in Savannah, Georgia, Trump said world leaders were laughing at Harris, claiming, “They can’t believe that she’s going to be president.”

Trump’s comments reflect longstanding concerns about Harris’ ability to step into the role of commander-in-chief, should anything happen to Biden.

Conservatives have frequently criticized her for gaffes and what they see as a lack of leadership during her time in office.

Pelosi quickly reverted to her typical playbook, calling Trump’s attacks nothing more than an “assault on women.”

Pelosi argued that Trump’s remarks were part of a broader pattern of undermining women in power.

Speaking with CNN’s Jake Tapper, she also criticized the former president’s economic legacy.

“The only thing he did as president, when he had the majority, was pass a tax cut that gave 83 percent of the benefits to the top 1 percent, adding $2 trillion to the national debt,” she claimed.

Given that it is unlikely Trump and Harris will debate again, both sides are gearing up for an intense and likely bitter end to the campaign season, with personal attacks and policy failures dominating the discourse.

  1. I remember when Trump was in office before and I want him to do the same thing again.
That is what he should tell us he will do while getting the ilegals out.
